Footsteps of St. Paul Greece Odysseys are intimate, fully guided tours, including locations from Thessaloniki to Corinth, with Philippi, Kavala, Berea and Corinth. Surreal side trip to the Majestic Meteora Monastaries in Kalambaka.

Bon voyage! You will be departing the United States on an overnight flight to Thessaloniki.

Day One

Arrive in Thessaloniki, Greece
Transfer to Hotel

Welcome dinner in the heart of the city
Sleep in Thesaloniki

Day Two

Board private coach and travel to locales near Kavala and the spot where St. Paul baptized St. Lydia of Thyatira.
Explore the archaeological site of Philippi where early Christianity flourished.
In Kavala, lunch at the picturesque harbor.
Free time at the seafront or visit the Castle, the Aqueduct, but we must say our favorite…St. Nicholas Church with the impressive modern mosaic depicting St Paul’s mission should definitely not be missed.
We depart Kavala at 4:30pm and drive back to Thessaloniki with a 6:30pm arrival so we can enjoy the evening in the beautiful and historic city.

Day Three

Thessaloniki City Tour, with visit to Vlatades Monestary, to see the Alter of St. Paul.
Thessaloniki is a treasure chest of sites marking the beginnings of Christianity. There is so much to see. A typical afternoon may include such options: visit the church of Ag. Sophia, the church of St. Demetrios, the White Tower—a historical prison that now hosts a small café, and a visit to a museum (any museum) is a must. End your day with an evening walk along the water.

Day Four

Visit the mosaic of the Apostle Paul in Veria (Berea), and explore one of the oldest and most significant Jewish quarters in Greece
Continue to Kalambaka and the Monasteries of Meteora.
Revel in the magnificence of the UNESCO Heritage Site of the monasteries suspended in the air. We will visit one of the monasteries according to the group ability to access.

Day Five

Optional morning visit to a second of the Meteora Monasteries
Private Coach Drive to Athens
Check-in to hotel, rest up, and join leaders for Foothills of the Acropolis Walking Tour

Coach Tour to Ancient Corinth and then a scenic drive across the Corinth Canal

Day Seven

City Tour of Extraordinary Athens
Acropolis and Acropolis Museum, stroll through the ancient agora and view Aeropagos Hill.

Morning transfer to Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport

An Insiders Tours leader will be available for a morning frappe, shopping, last minute sightseeing (there is no way to see everything on your first visit…trust us) and an early lunch. If you have chosen a stay-on tour, your tour leader will arrange for transfers.
